Bears Finally Speak Truthiness to Stephen Colbert!

Popular late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert has recklessly declared a "War on Bears". Although we embrace Mr Colbert's First Ammendment Right to say anything that he wishes, we feel strongly that his Fatwa on our furry bretheren is misguided and ill-deserved.

This website is a celebration of bears and a gentle reminder to Mr. Colbert of the great contribution bears have made to this country. From esteemed funny man Fozzy Bear to Snuggles the Fabric Softener Bear, we have been riding bikes, wearing tutus and eliminating static cling for generations.

America is in peril, everything you hold dear...your values, democracy, civil liberties they are all in jeopardy and it's not only terrorists from the Middle East you need to be afraid of. The imminent danger to your country comes from within your own borders.

It's those insidious forces in your goverment and in your media, working here at home, stirring your emotions, propogating hate and fear, dis-information, bigotry and intolerance...that's what's gonna kill America...all this hate and fear, not us bears.

Mr Colbert is spouting incredibly dangerous
rhetoric...poison....it's not satirical....advocating hatred, bigotry and fear of bears. It's not funny. The bears are not laughing.

Colbert's War on Bears is simply a ruse to distract his audience away from the disaster that is this Bush Presidency and their ill conceived invasion of Iraq. Everytime there is another horrifying story to report about Iraq, Colbert drags out his" Threat Down" list and his War on Bears. He should rail against the true dangers to your society like the War on Christmas, Hamsters, the Hollywood Agenda and the illegal incarseration of Flipper at Gitmo? (Habeus Porpoise)

We aknowledge that our relationship to humans isn't without incident. Occasionally a jogger is mauled or an unwitting camper eaten fresh out of their tent. But these incidents do not reflect the true nature of bear culture. How many times did we NOT maul your Mother-In-Law, How many times did we leave the campers alone and simply rifle their food supply? Do you ever think about THAT? Come on Colbert! Give credit where credit is due!

Only when we finally embrace our differences and welcome our furry compatriots will this nation find true and lasting peace. We must exercise tolerance towards all of God's creatures.

Except for the Hamsters..Hamsters are Godless and don't deserve to live...we must kill all of the Hamsters immediately.

We call upon Comedy Central and Stephen Colbert to immediately cease and desist their dishonest and counterproductive War on Bears...

After all, bears are people too.
